One of the prominent features of the Chinese Virtuous Mother Garden is the main gate. Upon entering the garden, one is greeted by an imposing gate that stands 22.3 meters high and 86.7 meters wide, constructed using the traditional Chinese dougong (bracket) system. It is currently the largest scenic gate in Jiangxi Province and the largest gate in the country built with the dougong structure. The plaque on the gate with the five characters "Chinese Virtuous Mother Garden" is both simple and elegant, and is the work of a renowned calligrapher.
